In actuality, it takes various interventions by the state to achieve publicly defined goals through governmental action, rather than individual decision making in the private sphere or the market.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">Politics is <a href=\"http:\/\/ruke.hr\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/2013115PrirucnikIstrazivanjeZagovaranje.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>multidimensional<\/strong><\/a>. These dimensions are best illustrated like this:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-83a232c elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"83a232c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"231\" src=\"https:\/\/equestris.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/vis\u030cedimenzionalnost-politike-min-768x231-1.jpg\" class=\"attachment-full size-full wp-image-2220\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/equestris.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/vis\u030cedimenzionalnost-politike-min-768x231-1.jpg 768w, https:\/\/equestris.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/vis\u030cedimenzionalnost-politike-min-768x231-1-600x180.jpg 600w, https:\/\/equestris.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/vis\u030cedimenzionalnost-politike-min-768x231-1-300x90.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4cbf9a0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4cbf9a0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"translation-block\">According to the working definition used for the EU project for Technical Assistance for Civil Society Organizations <strong>(TASCO)<\/strong>, policy influencing is \u201cthe deliberate and systematic process of influencing the policies, practices and behaviour of different targeted stakeholders who have the most influence on the issue in question, involving beneficiaries and increasing their ownership and capacity for resolving the issue.\u201d<\/p><p>Activities or strategies may be performed through which conjoined efforts or targeted action increases effectiveness of influence on policy. Policy influencing involves changing behaviour of certain stakeholders like government representatives, company representatives, or CSO representatives. In other words, it involves changing the behaviour of those in the seat to make decisions, which is the basic requirement for changing policy.<\/p><p>If you wish to influence public policy and key decisionmakers, ask yourself the following questions which need to be answered:<\/p><ul><li>Why should people trust you?<\/li><li>Who or what gives you legitimacy to join the process?<\/li><li>In what way can you be equally transparent toward your base, beneficiaries and decisionmakers?<\/li><li>How are you helping and are you looking for solutions where nobody loses?<\/li><\/ul><p>What is your basis for power and how are you using it?<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">Answers to these questions can be transfer to five principles of policy influencing \u2013 or<strong> CLASP<\/strong>:<\/p><ul><li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>C<\/strong>redibility<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>L<\/strong>egitimacy<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>A\u00a0<\/strong>ccountability<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>S<\/strong>ervice\u2011Orientedness<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>P<\/strong>ower Based<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1938084 elementor-align-left
