Through this initiative, which we are extremely proud of, we wanted to show how life becomes easier for both patients and their families, giving them back independence and a sense of better life.
We are extremely proud of the public health campaign in which we strongly supported the mission of World Obesity Day and Croatian Obesity Awareness Day, together with our partners and the Association for the Prevention of Overweight. Through expert panels and relevant media articles, we wanted to further encourage discussion about obesity as a serious health problem in the Republic of Croatia, as well as provide relevant information on all available treatments. The idea behind Živim život (Living Life) initiative was to raise awareness of how technological improvements and the development of insulin pumps have created a whole new dimension for people living with type 1 diabetes. They can now devote more time to all the activities that make them happy and fulfilled, worry less about insulin therapy and measuring blood glucose levels, as well as counting calories and carbohydrates.
The goal of the 20,000 Plavih balona (20,000 Blue Balloons) initiative was to raise awareness about living with type 1 diabetes. One of the goals was to motivate the public to share videos of themselves balancing blue balloons, meaning everyone could contribute to raising awareness. Through joint communication and teamwork, we have succeeded in our mission. We have managed to initiate a discourse on type 1 diabetes throughout Croatia, creating a community of like-minded individuals linked by the mutual goal of educating and informing people about living with type 1 diabetes.
The idea behind G.R.O.M Initiative was to share relevant information about stroke recognition and quick reaction during the first signs. We also wanted to raise awareness about its consequences and risk reduction, as well as locations where people who have suffered a stroke can be adequately cared for. The initiative was directly supported by 26 celebrities, and all leading doctors and experts.
